Introduction

Patek Philippe is renowned for creating some of the most exquisite and complicated timepieces in the world. The combination between chronographs and complications has always been used by the most complicated mechanisms produced by the Geneva watchmaker. Of particular importance in the OAK collection, the combination of chronographs and perpetual calendars is extremely well represented in this section with many various models and series recently produced such as some made especially for the owner of the OAK collection and therefore one-of-a-kind. Of particular importance is the Oak Collection’s Reference 3970/2J, champagne dial, is the only known example of this type.

So called « TV Screen ». Ref. 5020 was launched in 1994 and stopped its production in 2002. This is a limited series “TV Screen” watch.

Ref. 5170 P - 011, made upon special order for the present owner in 2019, large, water-resistant, diamond-set platinum chronograph wristwatch with special sector dial, manual winding, calibre CH 29-535PS, stamped with the PP Seal, Gyromax balance. Ref. 5170 was launched in 2010 in yellow gold and a white gold version was introduced in 2013, the present example with its sector dial and pays tribute to the vintage designs at Patek Philippe. This specially commissioned piece is one-of- a-kind.
