Introduction
The minute repeater is a testament to the craftsmanship and ingenuity of watchmakers throughout horological history. Minute repeaters and complications make a fascinating world in the long production of timepieces at Patek Philippe. This complex mechanism has always been one the key areas in the production of the greatest timepieces for the Geneva watch manufacturer. It was often chosen among complications as the favourites for some of the great patrons of Patek Philippe, such as Henry Graves Jr. which had in his private collection some of the most exquisite examples either as pocket or wrist watches. In its basic functionality the minute repeater allows its user to read the time by activating a slide that gives automatically on a gong a strike for the hours, quarter-hours, and minutes. The minute repeaters is also combined with other complications such as the perpetual calendar or world time, and some of the rarest examples produced recently at Patek Philippe are also part of the OAK collection.

To celebrate their 175th anniversary, Patek Philippe launched the present model, depicting the iconic Geneva Harbor. The harbor is a highly important historic site for the brand, as is the Salon in the Rue du Rhone, which was inaugurated in 1853.
